Huachuca City School will be offering a mentoring program designed to
help “at risk” kids dealing with different issues that impact
them academically.
At Wednesday’s school board meeting, the Tombstone Unified School
District governing board unanimously approved bringing Kids Hope USA
— a faith-based mentoring program of trained volunteers — to the school
to help children that could use a little extra support through
one-on-one mentoring. Cochise Faith Education Alliance is launching the
program in Cochise County by forming partnerships with churches and
schools, with Huachuca City as the first school to request the program
in this area.
